A cold man said to the fireplace, "Give me heat, then I'll give you wood". Most online businesses don't get it. The really successful ones think how they can be of service first. How will you be of service.
Before starting your internet business decide how you will be unique.
What will make your business unique from all the other online businesses trying to make money in your market? This is a tough question to answer. It may take you days, or even weeks to come up with the answer. You must answer this though. Your online business will depend on it. Think of it this way. People will be motivated to part with their money and give it to your business because ______________? You can start your internet business once you fill in that blank.
After you know how your online business will stand apart from the competition, you need to craft a plan to create that business. Planning seems to be a very hard task for some people. Try this. Imagine you already have a successful internet business. Think backwards as to how it was created. Break down the success into layers of success. Examine each money making layer one at a time. Make notes as you go. Review the plan at least 2 more times to polish it.
Lastly, work your plan. Build what you have envisioned. Create a business to serve people. Then serve those people. Finally, get ready to make money. A business built in this way will stand the test of time. Make sure you build in enough time to reward yourself for your good work too.
